John O'Callaghan's
Subculture Nights

Subculture by name certainly, but maybe these days not quite so much by nature. Of late John O’Callaghan’s label-turned-club-night brand has been popping up all over. Once solely the preserve of Irish clubbers, through sold -out events at Tripod in Dublin, Qub club in Belfast and legendary Lush in Portrush, Subculture's built up a reputation for bringing in DJs that deliver (and putting spectacular shows on to go along with them). Their recent bash at The Button Factory in Dublin saw queues form around the block to see deck action from W&W, Daniel Kandi, Neal Scarborough and J.O.C. himself.

Last month also saw Subculture spread its wings further, crossing the channel for their first London event at The Gallery. There 1800 packed out the Ministry of Sound, with W&W, fast emerging local lads Full Tilt and recent Top 100 debutante Orjan Nilsen once again bringing the noise. Even more impressively, by the time you’ve read this John and Co. will have ventured even farther from home. 5000 miles to be exact, for their first LA takeover! Teaming up with Insomniac - the US’ most successful party merchants - Subculture's Los Angeles event took place on the 9th of December, with John headlining and Sean Tyas and W&W in close support. Stepping off the stage from that event, an delighted John said  "Subculture started out as a fun idea but thanks to the loyal following we can now take it to the next level. We have had an amazing year & we can't wait to show you what's in store for 2012!" We're looking forward to it already John!
