The Best of Enhanced 2011
Every label of substance wants - needs even – their core producers to conclusively crack the DJ big leagues. Every Spinnin' needs a Sander (or so we say around these parts!). Enhanced have advanced numerous acts onto the rungs of the EDM career ladder over the last 4 years. Having discovered and subsequently released Arty's first tracks in 2009, lightning struck again this year when Tritonal cracked DJ Mag's Top 100 chart back in October.
Hence this year's Enhanced Music Best Of might well be viewed as another career landmark for the label themselves. Precision-mixed by the boss himself, Will Holland, the album is the conclusion to their annual vote-on - a process that sees the fans elect which tracks will go into the mix and form the annual. With DJ Mag calling the Enhanced "arguably the most consistent trance label on the planet", this could be described as the survival of the fittest… of the fittest! With 247 original and remixes released over the last 12 months, Holland & Co have obviously been at it 24-7, so fans have had their work cut out. As the poll closed the highest ranked 30 became apparent and in amongst them was plenty of rapturous floor-fuelling material from regulars including Daniel Kandi, Arty, Estiva, Ferry Tayle, Suncatcher, Temple One and yes, natch, Tritonal! There's a good few entries from Enhanced's newer guard too, with Norin & Rad making the grade more than once, as well as the likes of Audien, Juventa, Sequentia and others. When you see even those latter names rack up like that, knowing that at some point of other over the last year, they've all produced solid studio gold, you have to ask yourself: after Arty and Tritonal, who's gonna be next?!
